In 1992, when Raimbek company had just been founded, few people could clearly understand the concept corporate social responsibility. Such words like “aid”, “charity” and “sponsorship” wee more clear. Probably the 90-s turned out to be the most difficult for people of art: musicians, artists and actors actually found themselves in the sidelines. At that time already Raimbek company supported them, for example, the first private gallery “Rukh”, young musicians Marat Bisengaliyev and Amir Tebenikhin. We also rendered aid to orphan asylums, disadvantaged families and sportsmen. Most of the early projects were non-recurrent, but with the development of Raimbek company the very concept of corporate social responsibility, which required systematic approach, was implemented.
The youth, sports, vulnerable social groups – these are the key concepts, describing our focus in phylantropy. We choose and initiate those social projects which are being accomplished in a consistent professional manner: via professional operators we consciously choose several directions. For example, we support the young entrepreneur movement Enactus Kazakhstan. Ut is a huge international network with clear and transparent policy and actual results. For example AlmaU – is one of the few Kazakhstani universities, where progressive methods both of teaching and interaction with sponsors are being introduced.
For several years Raimbek company funded the project of the Kazakhstan Tennis federation “Tennis under 10”. We provided aid for purchasing special balls and rackets for children from 5 to 10, teaching children’s coaches and opening children’s tennis clubs. We joined this project because we saw the system and implementation of the international time-tested practice.
We support the amateur cycling sports. For example, we have numerously acted as partners and sponsors of the amateur cycling competitions such as Tour de Kids, Jeyran Trophy, Alatau Racing Challenge, Bartogai – Asy – Batan, we supported “Sports without borders” international cycling race, where visually impaired sportsmen participated, and took part in many other projects.
Today the strategy of Raimbek company’s corporate social responsibility is focused on the following directions:
- THE YOUTH
- SPORTS
- AID TO CHILDREN
- CULTURE
- OTHER PROJECTS
