Raimbek Agro Production Coach
Polat Makhantayev

I’ve got my degree in mining engineering. In the end of the 90’s it was hard to get a job, and I was unemployed. When in 2001 I found out that Raimbek Agro is opening a new factory I went there directly. However, I figured out that at the time they only needed masons and carpenters. The job didn’t scare me, I love making things myself, therefore I agreed right away and became a carpenter. I couldn’t imagine then that my further career will be tied around Raimbek Agro.

It was my 2nd month of work, when they started launching a new equipment. The head engineer offered me to try myself as an adjuster, since I was already trained as an engineer. This is how I’ve started working with equipment at the factory. And I still do, so I know everything about it.

I was doing well as an adjuster. Later on, I went through special courses in Moscow, after which I was appointed as packaging equipment engineer. It was very interesting to work with automatic lines, there was only few equipment of this kind in Kazakhstan back then. In addition to that, this job is very responsible – we are packing milk, and the quality and safety of our product depends on the quality of my work. Then I became a head operator and went through a lot of training. I studied in Moscow, covered trainings that were organized here in Kazakhstan by the manufacturer of our equipment.

In 2013 I became a production coach. At the moment, I instruct technical staff on how to work with the equipment. It’s a big responsibility. I doubt at first whether I will be able to pass on the knowledge to the people, but I managed.
